It's been a while

Ok, so I haven't exactly been faithful in updating my blog, but it isn't like I have people hanging on my every word wanting to know what I have to say next. I have come quite a long way since my last blog post. I have finished College of the Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu, I have had 4 or more deaths in my life, I have regained my confidence in myself and in life, I have had the best encounter with my creator and feel more blessed and loved than ever, my sister is now pregnant, my sister-in-law who lost her baby (my Nephew) full term last August, is going to have a baby girl here next month, I have been working out like mad and feel great about myself and I no longer feel like a slug haha. I am very unemployed, but in the process of starting my own housekeeping business. It seems to be off to a great start. It has been a very eventful year and it is about to go into full speed. The Fall Feasts are starting next weekend and I am very excited because for the High Holy days, I will finally have those days off for a change since I won't have an employer to answer to, only myself. And I have agreed to let myself have the days off that I need to obey the Laws of my Creator. Life is getting exciting and I am finally able to keep up with the changes. I know Yehovah has me in the palm of his hand. And his hand is greatly in my life. That is a fact I finally know. So needless to say, I am a changed person because of things/events of this past year in my life. All for the better I must say. I have a goal weight that I am trying to make by my Birthday next month and even if I don't make it, I should be close with the workout I have been doing. I've seen a lot of change in my body and it has been fast. I'm working out with one of my best friends and we have been each others support system through our working out. I go up to her place about 2-3 times a week and the rest of the week I try to work out here at home. She also has a goal weight to get to by her birthday next month. We are both October babies. And I would like to point out that October just happens to be the best month of the 12 :) So wish me blessings on my new endeavors as I do my hardest to achieve them.

Love and blessings,

Shalom,

Beautiful Traveling

I have long wished to travel to Vermont. I looked through my phone the other day to see if I had any friends that were free to pick up whenever they wanted and spontaneously move to Vermont with me. Well, it turns out that all my friends either have children, have a boyfriend or are married. So in conclusion, I am alone in my spontaneous journy. But it most likely won't happen for a while. Not until my finances are in order. It is just such a beautiful place. I would love nothing more than to move there. I just need that someone who can join me. He is out there somewhere. So "they" say. But until then all I have are my dreams.

A blessing

Today I had the chance to be a blessing to an old man. I was just getting on my lunch break at work and driving to the store for lunch and I see this little old man walking so slow that snails are passing him like he is standing still. He was walking with a cane and 3 bags of groceries. I drove past him but kept hearing a voice inside saying, "Help him, if you don't get lunch for once, it is ok, it won't take long and you will be doing a great deed." So I backed my car up and asked him if he would like a ride home. He was only about 4 blocks away but with his speed it would have taken 30 to 60 minutes to get home and it was freezing out. His nose was all runny. I felt so bad for him. It only took at most 5 minutes to get him home and he was so grateful to me. He said, "You're a Doll! Thanks so much. Have a Great Day!" I felt like a million bucks once I was done doing my good deed. It is great to be a blessing to those in need. So I challenge you to go out and be a blessing to someone. You will not regret it.
